Born in Medellín, Colombia, Laura Alonzo began her career on the stage before transitioning into film and television. With a foundation in theater and a passion for storytelling, she’s known for bringing emotional truth to every performance — often exploring characters with layered inner lives and moral complexity.

After earning critical attention for her role in Sombras del Valle (2019), Alonzo appeared in several independent Latin American features, solidifying her reputation as one of the region’s most promising new talents. Her fluency in both Spanish and English has allowed her to work across borders, taking on projects that challenge her to balance vulnerability with power.

Devil’s Breath marks her first collaboration with Borda Studios and her first major international release. Alonzo describes the experience as “a descent into empathy — understanding a woman who loves, suspects, and breaks all at once.”

When she’s not filming, Laura dedicates time to advocating for women in film and mentoring young Latin American actresses entering the industry. Her grounded energy and emotional intelligence have made her a standout presence both on and off the screen.
